Tips: Difference between Linear DC power supply and switching power supply

The linear power supply has many advantages of good accuracy, small ripple, good adjustment rate and low external interference. It is suitable for many occasions.
The size of the switching power supply is smaller than the linear power supply, but the switching power supply has the problem of pollution to the power grid and radiation interference.
The switching power supply is not suitable for continuous and adjustable occasions with 0 volt starting when outputting high voltage and large current, but it is suitable for occasions where fixed output or relatively fixed output does not require much radiation interference.
The linear power supply is relatively easy to maintain. However, the switching power supply has a certain degree of difficulty in maintenance due to its dense components. In addition, because the circuit is completely different from the linear power supply, the technical quality of the maintenance personnel is relatively high, and the working state of each point of the circuit can be observed with an oscilloscope.

We are looking to source a DC power supply capable of providing at least 70V/40A

We are looking to source a DC power supply capable of providing at least 70V/40A, for a total power of at least 2800W. The linear power supply lacks the required voltage but otherwise is extremely close to what we are looking for. This product can fulfill our requirements?

Unfortunately, we only provide the linear power supply with 60V/50A, and there is no 70V voltage version.

Question about this power supply

I measured the base to collector voltage with a multimeter in "diode mode". The 48 transistors gave me a reading of ~0.4V which I think is normal. After careful inspection, there is no sign of damage anywhere, no burns, no broken traces.

Please measure the G and Emitter of The 48 transistors again. If the 48 transistors G and Emitter read ~0.4V, that's normal. Please feed back this information to us and provide us with a photo of your multimeter measuring the G and Emitter readings for further confirmation.

Good 3000W variable linear DC power supply

I like this 3000W variable linear DC power supply very much. It can provide accurate voltage and current. It is the best I have used in this price range and can be compared with most high-end devices.
