    DC regulated power supply can be divided into:

    1. Controllable rectifier type. The output voltage is adjusted by changing the switching time of the thyristor.
    2. Chopper type. The input is the unstable DC voltage, in order to change the on/off ratio of the switching circuit to get the one-way pulsating DC, and then get the stable DC voltage after filtering.
    3. Converter type. The unstable DC voltage is converted into high frequency AC by inverter first, and then transformed, rectified and filtered. The new DC output voltage is sampled and fed back to control the inverter working frequency to achieve the purpose of stable output DC voltage.

    Although the output DC voltage after rectification and filtering is smooth, its stability is still poor. After rectifying and filtering, the DC voltage must be stabilized to meet the needs of electronic equipment. There are two common types of DC voltage stabilizing circuits: Parallel type and series type.
