Tips: Common faults for a temperature transmitter

  1. There's no change at the transmitter output when the temperature of the measured medium increases or decreases. This is mostly caused by the seal of the temperature transmitter, perhaps the temperature transmitter is not sealed well, or when it is welded, a small hole is bored on the sensor accidentally. In this case, the solution is to replace the transmitter shell.
  2. The output signal is instable. This may be caused by the temperature source itself. The temperature source doesn't have stable temperature. If the instrument can't display stably, then it doesn't have enough anti-interference ability.
  3. Output error of the temperature transmitter is large. Many reasons may cause this problem, such as the thermal resistance wire of the selected temperature transmitter is incorrect, thus leading to measuring range error. Or the temperature transmitter is not correctly calibrated when it left the factory.

Clever Temperature Transmitter
We have a requirement to read RPM from this smart temperature transmitter. The manual is not clear on how to read the output from the drive to get a usable signal that can represent the motor rpm. Where I can get more information on how to read an output from the controller to get us to a motor RPM,?

This USB cable is used for configuration software and configuration parameters. But the software is only available in Chinese, You can send your temperature configuration requirements by email to support@ato.com, and our technicians will further assist you in using the transmitter.
4-20mA temperature transmitter
By consulting, the temperature transmitter and Pt100 RTD sensor should be used together, so we purchased them together. We chose the 4-20mA output temperature transmitter. The smart transmitter could directly convert temperature signal into current signal and record it. That's what we want.
