Sheath thermocouple have shielded thermocouple wire of common length 500mm and sheath diameter Ф3~Φ8mm, with flexibility, high pressure resistant, fast thermal response time and long operating life. E type thermocouple can directly measure the temperature of liquid, vapor, gas medium and solid surface in the range of 0~700 ℃ in various production processes.

    As a temperature sensor, thermocouple is usually used with display instruments, recording instruments and signal conditioners. Sheath thermocouple also can be used as a temperature sensing element for assembly thermocouple.

    Tips: How to select and connect extension wire?
    Extension wire is a cheap opened thermocouple which is of the same model with field thermocouple. Its property is basically consistent with standard thermocouple. Model of field extension wire must be consistent with the installed thermocouple. And the specific model can be found from the surface of extension wire by distinguishing color of insulated leather of protective bush within extension wire. If model of extension wire is not correct, there will be errors of temperature measurement. If K type thermocouple is connected with E type extension wire, temperature displayed in the control room will be higher. In a similar way, if E type thermocouple is connected with K type extension wire, the displayed temperature will be lower.
