Designed for meteorological and hydrological monitoring, the tipping bucket rain gauge sensors provide accurate measurement and high sensitivity. With an aperture of 200mm and a resolution of 0.2mm or 0.5mm, the rain sensor can accurately capture every precipitation change with a measurement error of only ±0.32mm.The ATO tipping bucket rainfall sensor supports a variety of communication outputs to ensure the stability of data transmission for remote monitoring and is suitable for the integration of large-scale monitoring systems. The rainfall intensity range of the sensor is 0~4mm/min, and it can withstand a maximum rainfall intensity of 8mm/min. It operates in a wide temperature range to meet the application requirements under different climatic conditions.

Features

  1. Tipping bucket rain gauge sensor featureABS Tipping Bucket: The supporting system of the tipping bucket parts is well-made, with small friction torque, thus the tipping bucket turns over sensitively, with stable performance and reliable work.
  2. Self-washing Dust: three-dimensional streamlined design, and the design of the sagging curved surface deflector tip of its shape beautiful and smooth, better water turning performance and easy to clean and maintain.
  3. Anti-mess Clogging: The internal black pagoda head can effectively prevent leaves and other debris from clogging the rainfall sensor.

Tipping bucket rain gauge sensor sizeInstallation

  1. Tipping bucket rain gauge sensor installationIndoor Installation: Take out the pearl cotton block at the bottom of the rain sensor and then install the supporting block to the bottom of the instrument.
  2. Outdoor Installation: In the cement foundation to play 3 Ф10 depth of 8 ~ 10cm mounting holes, will be placed in the installation of expansion bolts in the mounting holes, with the lock nut locking, and then the rain sensor base installed in the 3 height support nut, by adjusting the height of the support nut and use a level ruler to measure the ring whether the mouth is at the level of the state, and finally with the top of the locking will be fixed instrument.

Tips: Tipping bucket rain gauge sensor simulated precipitation test

If the rainfall sensor in the operation of the process found that the instrument measurement accuracy is too poor, should again be artificial simulation of precipitation test, re-adjust the rainfall sensor, the method is as follows:

  1. Test tools: 1 special rainfall measuring cylinder, 1 small dropper
  2. Check before the test: Before the test, remove the outer cylinder to check whether the instrument level bubble is centered, whether the flip bucket is flexible, no stagnation phenomenon, and check whether the water circuit is smooth, and then use water to the rain bearing mouth, water funnel to be fully wetted.
  3. Water injection test: use double-speed drip method to check the measurement accuracy of the instrument.
With a special rain measuring cylinder to measure 10mm of water, through the diversion funnel slowly poured into the tipping bucket, to be turned over when the tipping bucket, that is, to stop injecting water, and then use the dropper to suck a number of cylinder of water, drop by drop to join the tipping bucket until the tipping bucket turn over, and so on repeatedly, recording the number of times the tipping bucket turn over with the amount of consumed water; if the tipping bucket turn over 20 times, the amount of consumed water for 9.7~9.85mm, then it can be recognized as the apparatus The tipping angle of the tipping bucket base point is normal, do not have to be adjusted.
  4. When the amount of water>9.85mm, indicating that the tipping angle of the bucket is too large, the curve left, should be appropriate to improve the height of the adjustment screw; when the amount of water < 9.7mm, indicating that the tipping angle of the bucket is too small, the curve right, should be appropriate to reduce the height of the adjusting screw; in general, the left and right adjusting screw each turn, that is, the accuracy of the change of 3~4% or so.
