7500w Asynchronous Motor with Clutch Details

Tips: Braking Method of 10hp (7.5kW) 3 Phase Asynchronous Motor with Clutch.

The electrical braking methods of three-phase induction motor are: energy braking, reverse braking and regenerative braking.

1. When energy consumption braking, the three-phase AC power supply of the motor is cut off and DC power is sent to the stator winding. In the moment of cutting off the AC power, due to inertia, the motor still rotates in the original direction, the characteristics of this way is smooth braking, but requires DC power, high power motor, the cost of DC equipment is large, low-speed braking force is small.

2. Reverse braking is divided into two kinds: load reverse braking and power reverse braking.

1) Load reverse braking also known as load reverse pull reverse braking. This torque allows the weight to slowly fall at a steady rate. The characteristics of this brake are: the power does not need to be reversed, no special braking equipment, and can also adjust the braking speed, but only for wire-wound motors, the rotor circuit needs to be series into a large resistor, so that the turndown rate is greater than 1.

2) Power reverse braking When the motor needs to be braked, it can be braked quickly by arbitrarily adjusting the two-phase power lines so that the rotating magnetic field is opposite. When the motor speed is equal to zero, the power supply will be cut off immediately. The characteristics of this kind of braking are: fast stopping, strong braking force, no need of braking equipment. But the braking current is large, the impact force is also large, easy to make the motor overheat, or damage the transmission parts of the parts.

3. regenerative braking, also known as feed-back braking, under the action of the heavy load (when the crane motor under the heavy load), the motor speed is higher than the synchronous speed of the rotating magnetic field. At this time, the rotor conductor generates induction current, which generates counter-rotating direction torque under the action of rotating magnetic field, but the motor speed is high and needs to be decelerated by variable speed device.
