    Tips: How does an electronic speed controller control speed?

    An ESC or an Electronic Speed Controller controls the brushless motor movement or speed by activating the appropriate MOSFETs to create the rotating magnetic field so that the motor rotates. The higher the frequency or the quicker the ESC goes through the 6 intervals, the higher the speed of the motor will be.

    1. Do the ATO-ESC-S50A and ATO-ESC-S60A ESCs have energy recovery functionality?
    2. What are the control modes of the ATO-VC-75S-N-100?
    3. How many phases of motors are each of these three ESCs compatible with? Furthermore, how many poles of brushless DC motors are they compatible with? Are the ESC's ERPM parameters relevant to my questions? If so, what are the ERPM values for the ATO-ESC-S50A and ATO-ESC-S60A?

    1. Yes, both of these ESCs have regenerative braking (energy recovery) functionality.
    2. The ATO-VC-75S-N-100 has control modes including current control, duty cycle control, speed control, and position control.
    3. The ESC is compatible with three phases. The number of poles itself is not strictly limited, but it is constrained by ERPM: ERPM = RPM × number of pole pairs, ERPM = battery voltage × kV value × number of pole pairs. Different hardware versions of VESC have different ERPM limits.
    It is suitable for my needs
    I recently purchased and used this electronic speed controller. After connecting the power supply and motor, setting parameters is also very convenient, especially through the program card adjustment, which allows me to quickly optimize motor performance and is very suitable for my needs.

    Seems to work very well
    This electronic speed controller doesn't get unusually hot and has plenty power for servos and receiver. No telemetry just good value. It seems to work very well, had no problems.
