Tips: How to improve the service life of control ransformer?
We know that when using the control transformer, we should pay attention to two points: one is the power of the transformer, the other is the correct wiring. The total power of the load connected to the secondary side shall not be greater than the power of the control transformer, and short circuit is not allowed. Otherwise, the temperature will be too high, and it will be burned if it is serious. The main parameters of the transformer are voltage ratio, voltage regulation rate, copper resistance, efficiency, temperature rise and electrical strength. Different types of transformers have some special requirements. The transformer shall have a long enough life. The main factor that determines the service life of low-voltage transformer is thermal aging. Because the insulation system works in high temperature for a long time, the evaporation of paint film makes the insulation material embrittlement and crack, resulting in electric shock. When the working temperature increases by 8-10 ℃, the service life will be shortened by half.
For high-voltage transformer, corona discharge is the main factor affecting the service life. The influence is related to working frequency, corona discharge intensity, corona resistance of insulating materials and working electric field intensity. Therefore, corona discharge should be avoided. Under various environmental conditions, the most important factor affecting the reliable operation of transformer is humidity. When the transformer is exposed to damp and hot environment for a long time, its insulation resistance will drop seriously, even the insulation layer will break down and burn down.
