Tips: Variable frequency drive hardware replacement precautions

  1. Replace the IGBT. Measure whether the resistance value of each road is balanced.
  2. Replace the drive board. Need to carefully check whether the plug and socket number is consistent.
  3. Replace the main control board. After replacing the main control board, set the application parameters, motor parameters and protection parameters of VFD.
  4. Replace the PG card. Check whether the terminals are normal. If the motor has a vibration or cannot rotate after replacing the card, need to exchange the A and B phase.
  5. Replace the communication board. Simply check the DIP switch set by VFD hardware station number, and then check that the communication light is normal.
  6. The communication board of some VFD series is an independent CPU. After the replacement, need to upload configuration program.

VFD recommendation
I have a three-phase, 220-volt, 4-kilowatt table saw that needs to be powered by a 220-volt single-phase power supply. I want to be able to stop it relatively quickly, and may need an external resistor. I hope you can give me a recommendation on this.

How quickly the motor stops depends on the size of the mechanical inertia. The larger the mechanical inertia, the larger the busbar, the larger the current, and the slower it stops. It is impossible to determine how large a resistor is needed. Our VFD manual defaults to a braking resistor power of 10% of the inverter power for reference.

Restore factory settings: If your VFD nameplate has 9000, please set Pd.01=1. If the nameplate does not have 9000, please set parameter P3.01=10.
We need help
We installed a GK3000. It has not gone well. We need help. How do we increase output voltage? We need a minimum of 208V, we are only getting 195. There is 240 going in. Got it to the “fun” stage several times but no further. Output reads low. We would appreciate any assistance you can provide.

If your VFD has the number 9000, then you need to set the parameter P8.02=220V.
If your VFD does not have the number 9000, then you need to set the parameter P0.08=220V.
In addition, the output frequency needs to reach the upper limit frequency (rated frequency) for the output voltage to reach 220V.
