Tips: Momentary Push Button Switch Troubleshooting
1. The circuit produces induced current. When the metal button switch is connected to the circuit, if there are related parts with a strong magnetic field next to the switch, or the power inverter used, the quality is not off and the filtering is not clean, even when the power is turned off. There are still some currents that generate induced currents, and the induced currents cause dim brightness. This is also determined by the characteristics of LEDs. Because the current required for LED work is very small, as small as a dozen mA, the induced current is also sufficient. The light is dimly lit. The solution is to connect parallel resistors (1k~10k resistors) or parallel capacitors (0.1UF/450V non-polar capacitors) at both ends of the switch LED lights for leakage.
2. The customer connected the wrong switch on the device. Connect the switch to the neutral (N) line. On the surface, it seems that the switch can still control the startup and shutdown of the device. In fact, the live wire cannot be directly turned off. This causes the LED light of the switch itself to still work when it is turned off, due to the circuit board, etc. The live conductor will still be grounded as a neutral wire and purchased as a small loop, so the LED light will still be on. Solution: Connect the two wires of the switch reversely, that is, the live wire of the switch control circuit must be used, so that the normal operation of the equipment and the personal safety of the user are guaranteed, and the switch indicator light will not be left after the switch indicator is turned off.
3. The capacitor leakage. This is because the LED indicator light is composed of a DC power supply. The power supply is composed of a circuit. There are capacitors and many components in the circuit. Although the light is turned off, the light will still have dim light due to the leakage of the capacitor in the circuit, and it is induction. The current causes a slight brightness, which depends on the capacity of the capacitor. Sometimes it will shut itself off in a few seconds, and sometimes it can even leak for several hours after the power is discharged. The LED light will turn off by itself. If it is always on, the solution is to replace the power supply. After the high-quality power supply is turned off, the leakage current can be completely discharged by itself. Another method is to connect a resistor or capacitor in parallel at point 2 in the above figure.
