Tips: Protector of the circuit breaker
The protector of the circuit breaker is realized through various releasing equipment. The releasing equipment of the circuit breaker includes: undervoltage releasing equipment, overcurrent releasing equipment, shunt releasing equipment and so on. What’s more, the overcurrent releasing equipment can be further divided into the overload release and short-circuit release. The undervoltage release is used to monitor the fluctuation of the working pressure. When the network pressure reduces 70%~35% of the rated voltage of the network has fault, the circuit breaker can disconnect immediately. When the voltage voltage is below 35% of the rated voltage, it can prevent the circuit breaker from closing. The undervoltage release with deferred action can prevent from the voltage fluctuation caused by the dramatic rising load, so as to cause the improper disconnection of the circuit breaker. The deferred time can be 1s, 3s and 5s.
The shunt release is used for remote control of the thermal relay to disconnect the circuit breaker. The overcurrent release is used to prevent from overload and short circuit of the load side. Generally, the circuit breaker still has the short-circuit locking function, so as to prevent the circuit breaker to be switched on after breaking the short-circuit fault and before eliminating the fault. In the short-circuit condition, the circuit breaker disconnects and the locking mechanism operates, so that the circuit breaker mechanism will be maintained at the breakage position. Before the restoration of the locking mechanism, the switching mechanism of the circuit breaker can not work, so that the circuit can not be connected.
