Tips: Detection and maintenance of screw rod support bearing clearance

If the dial-gage indicator which measures the screw rod does not swing when the screw rod moves in forward direction and opposite direction, it shows that the screw rod does not move. The maximum and minimum measured value difference is the distance of the axial float of the screw rod. At this point, we will check whether the back cap of the supporting bearing is locked, whether the bearing is worn out or not, and the pre load bearing washer is suitable. If the bearing is damaged, the bearing needs to be replaced and the pre-loaded washer needs to be made again so as to tighten the back cap. The screw rod axial float largely depend on the precision of  supporting bearing preload washer. The most ideal condition of the screw rod installation accuracy is that there is no positive and negative clearance, and the support bearing should have the interference of about 0.02mm.

ATO external stepper linear actuator in this video is 2 phase 4 wire comes in Nema 23 frame size. We will show you how to use PLC connect to the hybrid stepper motor system, and control this external stepper motor linear actuator for simple forward and reverse motion by the pulse and direction command issued by PLC.

VFD Two-Wire Control Wiring with Push Button for Forward Motor

In this video we've guided you through how to do VFD control wiring with a self-lock push button switch to run the motor in forward direction. We've covered everything from wiring to programming and even a test run. So just watch it through and hope you'll find it informative and helpful.

Calculation of Lead Screw and Stepper Motor

This video introduces the calculation of stepper motor. You need to know the step angle of the stepper motor and the pitch of the lead screw as well as the number of threads and subdivisions of the driver.

Rotation Angle Control of Stepper Motor

The angle control principle of stepper motor is to control the number of pulse outputs of PLC.

    1. The output frequency of PLC is related to the speed of motor.

    2. Pay attention to the dip switch on the stepper motor driver, which should match the current of stepper motor, and pay attention to how many pulses control the stepper motor to rotate one circle.

In the case of non-overload, the speed and stop position of the motor only depend on the frequency and pulse number of the pulse signal, and are not affected by the load change. That is, when a pulse signal is added to the motor, the motor rotates through a step angle. The existence of this linear relationship, coupled with the characteristics of the stepper motor having only periodic errors and no cumulative errors. This makes it very simple to use stepper motors to control the speed, position and other control fields.

Looking for linear stepper motor actuator that can run syringe pump
We are looking for linear stepper motor actuator that can run syringe pump. The maximum load is about 3.5Kg (axial), we need the linear speed to be between 15mm/sec to 2.5mm/sec.
