    Tips: How does PLC control the stepper motor?

    PLC can realize the control of the stepper motor by its high speed pulse output function or motion control function. The stepper motor is a kind of electric hybrid motor with low rotor inertia, high positioning accuracy, small errors and simple control. It is one of the main actuators in the field of motion control. As an industrial control computer, PLC has a modular structure, flexible configuration, high-speed processing speed, accurate data processing capabilities, multiple control functions and network technology performance. It is currently one of the most widely used control devices, so PLC is very advantageous to control the operation of the stepper motor.
    The start frequency, stop frequency and output torque of the best stepper motor must be adapted to the moment of inertia of the load. However, if PLC is used to control the stepper motor, the pulse equivalent, the upper limit of pulse frequency and the maximum number of pulses of the system should be calculated according to the following formula, and then the PLC and its corresponding functional modules should be selected. According to the pulse frequency, the frequency required for high-speed pulse output of the PLC can be determined, and the bit width of the PLC can be determined according to the number of pulses.

    Excellent stepper motors.
    I purchased 10 Nema 17 stepper motors and I use these for both X A and Z axis for my CNC machine. They work great and stay cool. I never needed to increase the current much beyond 1 amp for my CNC. Excellent stepper motors.

    Good powerful NEMA 17 stepper motor.
    I bought this NEMA 17 stepper motor to replace my old one for my 3D printer. It not only stayed relatively cool, it never missed a beat. My prints seem to be much better. If you need more torque, cooler motors and lower voltage to keep motor drivers cooler then this is defiantly worth a try.

    Great Nema 17 stepper motor and worth the money.
    I ordered this Nema 17 stepper motor, it is quite and runs great. It runs much cooler because I'm not supplying it with too much power, and I am able to tune it so I don't get issues with skipped steps from extruding. I would consider buying this stepper motor again for similar applications.

    The motor works well on my extruder
    I bought this Nema 17 stepper motor to replace the larger stock extruder motor on my MP Makes Select Plus as part of upgrading the stock extruder to a geared dual-drive extruder. It works like a charm on my direct drive setup. Never skips and barely gets warm.

    I purchased this Nema 17 stepper motor to replace my old one on my 3D printer. It works great. I can print faster now. The low torque of this stepper motor is not a problem. Highly recommend.

    Perfect.
    I got this Nema 17 stepper motor to replace my old one on my 3d printer. It is well made motor and fit the standard Nema 17 stepper dimensions. Everything looks perfect now. Just hope it will have a long life span on my printer. If you need a pancake stepper motor for a geared extruder, just hit buy now.

    Works perfectly.
    I purchased one of the 2 phase Nema 17 stepper motor for my 3D printer. It works perfectly. The cable comes with the motor is quite robust. So far I have a couple of hundred hours of prints on the stepper motor and it's still working great.

    These are quality stepper motors
    I purchased the 3-pack of the Nema 17 stepper motors for my current project and they worked perfectly without me recalibrating the e-steps. These are quality stepper motors and they have plenty of torque to drive the geared extruder without missing any steps.
