    Tips: Functions of signal isolator

    1. Isolate input signal and output signal
      On the one hand, the signal isolator can solve the problem of different ground reference points generated when the ground loop is connected with the equipment. On the other hand, it can effectively remove the radio frequency and electromagnetic interference that circuits may suffer during transmission.
    2. Signal isolation and distribution
      Two output signals can be both identical, and different from each other. Two receiving equipments are completely isolated. Any equipment fails, it will not affect the entire loop and the other equipment.
    3. Avoid power conflict
      The signal access terminal of the receiving device is equipped with a 24V power supply, however, a 4-wire transmitter is used on site and the output signal is an active signal. When connecting an output loop powered signal isolator, it is powered by the receiving device through a signal output line. Moreover, the active signal of the 4-wire transmitter will be output to the receiving device after isolation, thus it not only avoids the power conflict, but also isolates the signal.
    4. Provide power supply and isolate
      The 4-wire external powered signal isolator can provide power supply to a 2-wire transmitter, thus it avoids providing additional power supply to the transmitter, and also provides the signal isolation function.
    5. Signal conversion and isolation
      The isolator has the signal conversion function and can accept DC standard (or non standard) signal, thermocouple signal, RTD signal, potentiometer signal or even AC signal. Moreover, it can also output various signals that the user needs.
    6. Smart signal isolator
      In addition to the excellent performance of conventional signal isolator, a CPU control unit can also be added in a signal isolator to realize the field programmable function and RS485 communication function.
