    Tips: How does a stainless steel swing check valve work?

    A stainless steel swing check valve works by using a hinged disc or flap to prevent the backflow of fluids or gases in a piping system. The valve is installed in the pipeline and allows fluid or gas to flow in one direction while preventing it from flowing back in the opposite direction.

    When fluid or gas flows in the forward direction, the pressure of the fluid pushes the disc away from the valve seat, allowing the fluid to pass through the valve. As the fluid flow stops, the weight of the disc and gravity causes it to swing back into the valve seat, closing the valve and preventing backflow.

    If the fluid or gas tries to flow in the opposite direction, the pressure of the fluid or gas will push the disc against the valve seat, creating a seal and preventing backflow. As the fluid or gas flow direction changes again, the disc will swing open once again and allow the flow to continue in the forward direction.

    The valve operates automatically without the need for external power, and it is designed to operate with minimal pressure drop to maintain the efficiency of the piping system.
