    Tips: Variable frequency drive advantage in injection molding machine energy saving retrofit
    For the plastic products industry, power consumption is the main part of production cost, and injection molding machine is the main energy consumption equipment. At present, most of the injection molding machine is hydraulic transmission type, the power in hydraulic system is offered by the motor driven pump. During the injection molding cycle, the flow and pressure required for injection molding machines different processes are different under, and must be dependent on the flow valve and pressure valve to adjust the flow and pressure required for different processes. Hydraulic system has high load changes, because the quantitative pump can't adjust the output power, so the excess energy can only be consumed in the baffle, oil leakage, or oil temperature rise. This has exacerbated the wear of valves, too high oil temperature and too large noise, and the mechanical life can also be shorted. And in usually design, the motor design capacity for user pump is much higher than the actual needs, resulting in a lot of energy waste. Therefore, the promotion of AC variable frequency speed control device in the application of injection molding machine has great significance for reducing energy waste and saving production cost.
    The VFD has incomparable advantages in the energy-saving retrofit of injection molding machine. When injection molding machine in frequency conversion retrofit wiring, retain the original computer control system, oil-line of hydraulic transmission system and motor Y-△ step-down start running circuit unchanged. And use variable frequency energy-saving / frequency operation conversion control mode to avoid affecting the normal production when failure occurred. When replacing the mold, only need to change the injection molding machine computer board working procedures, and don’t need to make any adjustments to the VFD.

    I have the issue resolved with the three wire start stop wiring
    I have the issue resolved with the three wire start stop wiring. I still am having an issue with the E-19 input phase loss. I found the parameter pa.12 and changed that setting to 10. The system runs without faulting out buti do not show a current draw on c phase which would be one of the 2 single phase inputs into the phase converter that is manufacturing the third phase. Please advise of the draw backs of turning off the input phase loss setting. Does it change the capability of the drive?

    The input is a three-phase voltage. If there is no correlation or phase loss protection, it does Not matter. It will Not change the driving capability of the VFD.
    What is the default output voltage while running at 50Hz?
    I have a VFD model GK3000-4TO300G. I am aware the default setting for the Hz is 50Hz and that is what I need but I need a maximum of 400V.

    How to solve VFD problem?
    I purchased 4 VFDs last week installed them and am having an issue with one of them. Would really like a call to address this issue.
    We are having issues with an installation of a 15 HP VFD.
    The output to our motor is causing the motor to pulse and can not get to steady out. Am I missing something?
    3-phase input and output 480V system.
    After a few minutes, we are seeing E-10.

    1. Gk3000-4T0300G shows fault code E-10 because the motor is overloaded.
    Please send us your motor nameplate label to further confirm whether the motor and VFD match.
    Also, you can set P0.22=2 or 3, P0.17=20, P0.18=20, P5.01=120%, P5.04= 180%, and test again.

    I need some help to solve VFD
    Installed Gk3000-4T0300G.
    The system started up and ran well yesterday.
    Came in this morning and started up the system and today we are seeing motor speed not constant and varying downward. And then going out with an E-10 fault.

    Please provide the motor nameplate and wiring diagram for further confirmation.
    You can refer to the manual settings.
    Can one VFD run multiple motors?
    Can 1 controller run multiple motors? Ie, a 2 hp unit run 4, 1/2 hp fan motors?

    It can be, but all motors should be switched on/off together at the same instant via VFD buttons only, and you have to use 3hp VFD to run 4, 1/2 hp fan motors. But We recommend using one drive for one motor.
