    Tips: Variable Frequency Drive Overload
Overload is also one of the frequent failures of VFD. When meet with the problem, we should first analyze if the motor overloads or VFD itself overloads. Generally speaking, the motor has high overload capacity, as long as the VFD parameter is set properly, it will not appear motor overload. But the VFD overload capacity is relatively not high. It is easy to appear overload alarm. We can detect the VFD output voltage, output current, and detect circuit and other trouble points one by one for trouble shooting.
For example, a 75hp VFD often displays "OL" when running.
Analysis and maintenance: According to the response from customer, this VFD was originally used in the 50hp motor, but now it is used for 75hp motor without resetting any parameters, so the problem may be out on the parameters. After checking, set VFD limit current as 75hp motor rated current instead of 50hp, and finally the problem is solved.

The VFD won’t turn on now
There was a loud pop in VFD (please note that VFD was On, but the Motor was not triggered to run) and it flew the front cover out. I managed to put back the cover, but VFD won’t turn on now. Please advise on what I should do next step forward.

Please remove the front cover of the VFD, then check where the internal circuit board is damaged. Also, is there any abnormality in the three-phase 480V input voltage of the VFD?
Do you provide 25hp three phase 600V VFD?
Do you have a 25hp three phase 600V VFD?

Yes, we have. Just the price will be higher than regular 480V input voltage option.
