Working Principle

Intelligent roots gas flow meter, mainly consists of shell, conjugate rotor and intelligent flow totalizer and other components. A pair of conjugate rotors installed in the metering chamber keeps the rotors in the correct relative position by means of precision-machined adjusting gears under the action of the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the circulating gas (Pin > Pout).
Optimum working gaps are maintained between the rotors, between the rotors and the housing, and between the rotors and the wall plate, realizing a continuous contactless seal. For every one-week rotation of the rotor, four times the effective volume of the metering chamber is output. The metering process and working principle are shown in the diagram (only a quarter of the cycle is shown in the diagram).
Application

Tips: Installation of Roots gas flow meter
Before installing the flowmeter should be removed from the import and export encapsulation, must prevent particulate impurities fall into the measurement chamber, such as the measurement chamber surface coated with antirust oil, can be flushed with gasoline or kerosene, and rigorously remove impurities from the pipeline.
Roots flow meter should be installed upstream of the filter or strainer to prevent rust slag, welding slag and other impurities into the measurement chamber.
When installing the flowmeter, no matter the import and export is vertical or horizontal position, should try to keep the rotor axis horizontal.
In order to prevent the new installation of the pipeline rust slag, welding slag and other impurities into the gas flowmeter, the user should first install the transition pipe in the installation position of the flowmeter, ventilated for a period of time (about a week), to ensure that there are no large particles of impurities, and then replace the flowmeter.
Installation of the flow meter, should ensure that the center of the flowmeter and the center of the pipeline alignment, no misalignment, and so that the flowmeter is not affected by external forces (including axial and tangential).
