Existing reviews of 5 hp VFD, Single Phase to Three Phase VFD
I got the table saw up and running this past weekend and I am pleased with the VFD. I purchased Model GK3000-2S0037G to run a table saw with a 5HP 9-lead 3-phase motor which can run on either 230V or 460V. It is set up to run on the lower voltage obviously.
I have one other question: In general, the saw cuts through normal wood like butter; however, when I went to cut a thicker piece of cherry, the motor slowed a bit. The blade is sharp and the motor is a 5 HP so I don't believe the motor should have slowed much at all. The VFD is connected to a 30 AMP 240 circuit so that shouldn't be the problem. Is there a setting I should change which would help?

Regarding the "when I went to cut a thicker piece of cherry, the motor slowed a bit", did the VFD give out a fault code in this case?
If the VFD gives out an alarm, it means that the motor capacity is small; if the VFD fails, it means that when processing thick wood, the load increases and the current is high. We recommend that when processing thick wood, your cutting speed should be reduced due to the increased load.
You can click the shift key>> when the VFD is running with a thicker piece of cherry, shift to b0.04, and check the current (A) displayed by the VFD in real time.
How long is your standard shipping? I watched the video you sent, very nice! I'm still very unsure about P6.30-Given pressure. I would really like to understand if/how this value is used, and I do not believe it is the 'target pressure' as you stated. You use the term 'set pressure' in your description, which Px.xx number is that referring to? What makes me think P6.30 is not used is the fact that it is set to a number MUCH higher than the wake-up and sleep pressures. Finally, I'm wondering about safety. What happens if my pressure sensor fails. Is there anything that will stop the pump running forever/until it overheats. Is it possible to add maybe a temperature sensor based shut-off, or a backup pressure sensor?

1. This unit 5hp drive, model: GK3000-2S0037 is in stock at our US warehouse, and we can ship directly from the US, which can shorten the delivery time. Just place an order and tell us to ship from the US warehouse.
2. The set pressure of P6.30 is also equivalent to the target pressure. Its relationship with the sleep pressure can be set in the parameter P6.41, the actual pressure or 100% pressure.
Because the pressure in the bucket is limited in our demonstration video, the values are very small when setting these pressure values. As long as the pressure rises to the sleep pressure level, the VFD will go to sleep. The whole operation is just based on demonstration, and the actual pressure value needs to be set according to the user's water pressure system.
3. Regarding safety issues, in the constant pressure water supply setting, if the pressure sensor is damaged, we have feedback signal disconnection detection P6.26/P6.27, and the system is protected.
After you purchase this VFD, you can carefully check the introduction of the VFD about the P6 parameter group.
5hp single phase to 3 phase VFD on/off switch
I have the 5 hp single phase to 3 phase VFD controlling a 3 phase motor on a vacuum pump.
I need to be able to use an on/off (non-resetting) switch to power on unit.
All the videos you provide and the quick setup guides use a momentary self resetting push button.

Hi, I just purchased VFD and I cannot get it to let me adjust the output hertz greater than 50 hertz. I've looked at the manual and videos, and it allows me to set it to anything below 50, but not above 50. I need to set it to 60hertz. Thank you for your help.

The input single-phase 220V voltage of the VFD you purchased is connected to the R/S terminal (the T terminal is not connected if the screw is removed), and the output terminals U, V, and W are connected to the three-phase motor.
You can try running the VFD without load and check if it can run normally to 50/60HZ. If there is No problem with the above operations, you can try connecting the motor again.

Some questions on wiring and parameters
I have some questions on wiring and parameters. I want to press a momentary start button (forward only) to run vfd. I want to press a momentary stop button to stop / reset vfd. How do I configure the vfd for this mode? I also want to send positive logic ( 24vdc) to the X1-X6 inputs. How do I configure the jumpers to allow for that type of logic? Can I use 24v terminal as the source for the start / stop buttons? I would appreciate the help and fast response.

1. If you only need to start (only forward) and stop running the motor, please refer to our quick set document settings. Wiring: input to L, N terminals, output to U, V, W terminals.
2. About send positive logic (+24vdc) to the X1-X6 inputs. Please remove the original 24V and OP short wire, and follow the connection method in the attachment.
3. NPN and PNP conversion setting parameter P3.41, please refer to the manual P132.
How do I enable VFD parameters PO.19, PO.07 to be changed?
I just received the 5hp single phase to 3 phase VFD and want to change running frequency from default 50Hz to 60Hz.
PO.02 states that it is a modifiable parameter, contingent on PO.19 being set to allow this. This parameter is unmodifiable because it is in the running state.
My question is: How do I enable parameters PO.19, PO.07, etc to be changed?

Sorry to bother you, but we believe this is the correct product model. Perhaps we can help to solve the your problems.
If you look closely, you can see that the T-terminal screw on the input terminal has been removed, since this terminal is not used.
You just need to connect the single-phase AC 220v power supply to the R-S terminal, and then please connect the three-phase motor to the U-V-W terminal.
Please refer to our demo video:

No current coming from the VFD sensor
Well, you can ignore the previous email. I went and purchased a better multi meter. I have no current coming from the sensor at any speed of the pump motor.
With negative from sensor to positive of meter and negative of meter to gnd on VFD all measure zero on DC mA on the meter.
I think it would be best just to exchange the transducer at this point. Can you pretest it before sending it out? I have wasted a lot of time on this install.

We are really sorry for bringing you such a bad experience. We think your sensor part may lack settings, and you need to convert 1.6Mpa to 232psi, and set 232 into IUH. Please refer to the attached file for settings. Please check the output again.
Does different versions of this sensor of VFD have different guides?
Thank you for the reply. The sensor transmitter I have does not have those settings in the advanced menu with pin 00016. What I see are in the attached files.
Also the online manual and the manual you attached last night via email appear to be different versions. Neither match my sensor. Just how many versions of this sensor have different guides?

Thanks for the detailed photos for your feedback. This pressure sensor is another version, it is a little bit different from the manual we sent yesterday.
According to the photos you provided, we confirm that your pressure sensor parameter settings are correct, and you have set the pressure range 232PSI. Now, you can run the VFD and the pump. When the VFD's operating frequency reaches 60Hz, please check the PSI pressure value displayed on the pressure sensor panel.
In addition, please use a multi meter to measure whether the current signal output by the pressure sensor. We want to know whether the pressure displayed by the pressure sensor is consistent with the output signal when the motor is running at 60Hz.
I purchased a vfd and I am using it to convert power for my drill press. It works good except that when I use the drill press switch to turn off the drill and then the switch to turn it back on the vfd come up with error code E-07 or E-06. The user manual suggest that it is abnormal input voltage. I have checked it with a multi-meter and it stays between 220-250v. I have the vfd plugged into the wall and have used the outlet to run other tools (off the single phase 220 outlet) and they run no problem. Just wondering if you have any solutions.

You mentioned that the VFD input voltage stays between 220-250V, but what is the voltage most of the time? Due to the relatively large fluctuations in the input voltage, the VFD should have overvoltage protection. You can try to set the VFD overvoltage protection point parameter P9.11=800, and test again. If possible, please try to control the VFD input voltage at around 230V. Also note: VFDs can only be used to connect motors, but are not suitable for powering machine tools.

As long as the 5HP VFD is running, the fan will automatically run; when the VFD is stopped, the fan will also stop. So if the VFD is running, but the fan is not, then there is something wrong with the fan.
I want to set up a 5HP VFD to run a vehicle lift
I would like to set up your single phase to three phase 5HP VFD to run a vehicle lift. I would like to use the existing safety switch and motor control. I have two questions.
1. Do the rev and fwd terminals need continuous closed circuit voltage to operate or does it momentarily cause it to run indefinitely?
2. Can I use the P24 terminal to operate the rev and fwd functions through the existing motor controls?

ATO 5 hp (3.7kW) VFD couldn't satisfy system as your request. There are two solutions as follows:
1. You can continuously use this 5 hp VFD, but you should use it to control compressor or fan only which power capacity is lower than 3.7kW.
2. We highly recommend you select our 7.5 hp VFD (SKU: GK3000-2S0037), which may meet your needs.
Any suggestions for what I should look at?
I have a GK3000-2S0037G that I am using with a 3.5kw spindle. When I enable the spindle, I get an E-01 error message and my P6.05 value is 303V. My spindle is rated at 220v/380v and my P0.08 value is 220. Any suggestions for what I should look at?

No, the output voltage of the GK3000-2S0037G you purchased can only be three-phase 220V, it cannot be used for three-phase 380V spindle motor, which will burn your motor.
If your spindle motor is three-phase 380V, and the input power voltage is single-phase 220V, it is recommended that you use our 1-Phase 220V to 3-Phase 380V VFD, see spec and price on: https://www.ato.com/10-hp-vfd-1-phase-220v-to-3-phase-380v

We are sorry for that. When the power is on, the VFD display "Y-H" is normal. The problem is that the operation button cannot be operated.
So, has your VFD keyboard been changed? Could you provide a video to show the problem that the keyboard button cannot be operated for our reference and confirmation?
I just purchased your GK3000-2S0037G VFD for my 3 phase planer that I am going to run of of 220V AC.
I am hoping to add an on/off toggle switch and was wondering if I run the wires for it to the COM and OC1 terminal.
Also, do I need to program that switch or will it just recognize it and it will function as an on/off.
Thanks you for the help, Luke.

Yes, our VFD can add external toggle switch to realize start/stop operation, the specific steps are as follows:
1.VFD wiring:
Start switch: the start switch (Normally open contact NO) is connected to terminal FWD and terminal COM
Stop switch: The stop switch (Normally open contact NO) connect the stop switch to terminal COM and terminal X1.
2.Set as following:
P0.03=1 (run command from terminal)
P4.08=0 (2-wire control mode 1)
P4.00=13 (Define terminal X1 as stop signal)
When you press Emergency stop, X1 and COM will be connected, and VFD will stop.

Ran well for a year, purchasing another
I bought this VFD last year to set up a back-yard ski lift. (700ft surface rope-tow powered by 5hp 3phase motor, run off single phase 220V house current.) The manual to figure out the programming definitely took some effort to understand but eventually I was able to set up the system with remote safety shut-off and speed control as well as remote indicator lights. I ran the system all winter without any problems (had error code shut-offs a few times but they were due to mechanical load issues.)
This year we are building a second lift with a similar design and since this VFD worked well for me all last year (and I've already done the hard work of figuring out how to program and wire it), I will be buying a duplicate VFD for the new lift.
I'm not one to write reviews but I figure that if it worked well enough for a year that I'm buying a second one, it's worth posting a positive review.
