Tips: Types of low-voltage circuit breakers
The low-voltage circuit breaker is also named the automatic air switch. It is mainly used as the power switch in the low-voltage distributing line or switch cabinet (box) not operated frequently and can be used to control the motor not started frequently. When there is any serious overcurrent, overload, short circuit, phase loss, electricity leakage, or other faults, it can cut off the power supply automatically and play the role of protection.

    1. Air circuit breaker in frame type (conventional)-ACB
All components of ACB are installed in one insulated metal frame. It is normally the open type. It can be equipped with several accessories, so the exchange of contact terminal and components are rather convenient. It is mostly used for the main switch of the power terminal.
    2. Molded case circuit breaker-MCCB
MCCB can cut off the current automatically when the current exceeds the current tripping setting. MCCB usually includes the thermomagnetic tripping unit. However, the large-size MCCB will be equipped with a solid tripping sensor. It is appropriate for being the protective switch of the branch.
    3. Miniature circuit breaker-MCB
MCB is a kind of terminal protective equipment that is mostly extensively used in the power distribution unit of the architecture electric terminal. It is used for the single-phase, three-phase short circuit, overload, and over-pressure protections below 125A, including the single pole (1P), double pole (2P), 3 pole (3P) and 4 pole (4P).

    Types of Circuit Breakers

In this video, we'll take a closer look at the meaning behind these abbreviations and explain the types of circuit breakers they represent. By understanding the different types of circuit breakers on the market, you can make an informed decision and choose the right type for your specific requirements, thereby enhancing the protection of your electrical infrastructure.

    Isolator vs Circuit Breaker

Although isolators and circuit breakers have similar functions in a circuit, they are two separate entities. This video explains you the difference between the two devices in terms of working, features, operation, affordability, etc. You can choose between them based on your specific requirements.

I am happy with this purchase.
I got one of this 2 pole miniature circuit breaker to disconnect the solar panels from the controller and to protect the whole system. This is working well. Very easy now to turn power on and off to the charge controller. I am happy with this purchase.
