Tips: Difference between molded case circuit breaker and miniature circuit breaker
    1. Current grade
The current grade of the molded case circuit breaker can reach as high as 2000A while the maximum current of the miniature circuit breaker is within 125A. Because of the volume difference of the two types, in detailed application, the effective area of the molded case circuit breaker is also bigger than that of the miniature circuit breaker. Meanwhile, the connected wire is also relatively thick, which can reach 35 square. However, the miniature circuit breaker is only suitable to be connected with the wire below 10 square.
    2. Installing means
The molded case circuit breaker is mainly installed by screws while the miniature circuit breaker is mainly installed through guide rail.
    3. Operation flexibility
The overcurrent and short-circuit protective equipment of the molded case circuit breaker are independent respectively. In the operation process, the operate value of the overcurrent protection still can be regulated flexibly. The overcurrent protection and the short-circuit protection of the miniature circuit breaker is the unified equipment. It has a certain deficiency in the regulating flexibility. However, when it is required to improve the safety of the equipment, because the movement of the miniature circuit breaker has a high sensitivity, quick breaking action, it is beneficial for protecting the wire and apparatus.

    Types of Circuit Breakers

In this video, we'll take a closer look at the meaning behind these abbreviations and explain the types of circuit breakers they represent. By understanding the different types of circuit breakers on the market, you can make an informed decision and choose the right type for your specific requirements, thereby enhancing the protection of your electrical infrastructure.

    Isolator vs Circuit Breaker

Although isolators and circuit breakers have similar functions in a circuit, they are two separate entities. This video explains you the difference between the two devices in terms of working, features, operation, affordability, etc. You can choose between them based on your specific requirements.
