Circuit breaker is a switching device that protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by overcurrent, typically resulting from an overload or short circuit. Circuit breaker can be used for distributing electric energy, starting asynchronous motors infrequently and protecting power circuit and motors. They can automatically cut off the circuit where major failures occur such as overload, short circuit and under-voltage etc, which is equivalent to the combination of fuse switch and overheat relay.
