    How to Run a 2 hp 1 phase to 3 phase VFD at 70Hz?

    We have purchased a GK3000-2S0015 2 hp single phase to three phase VFD. We have changed a number of settings to allow a frequency output of 70 Hertz, but for some reason, it does not allow us to pass the 50 Hertz factory setting. Which of the parameters do we have to reconfigure to allow operating at 70 Hertz, and can we operate the speed using the Jog knob at the front of the unit?

    Dear Bram,
    Please set the parameters below and try again:
    P0.01 = 0
    P0.03 = 0
    P0.06 = 70
    P0.07 = 70
    P0.19 = 70
    P0.20 = 0

    Thank you for the quick reply! I updated the parameters as suggested, and now the drive allows me to run up to 70Hz using the jog knob. Works perfectly!

    Hi, Bram!
    Glad to hear that worked! I ran into the same issue before — the default max frequency is locked at 50Hz for safety and compliance reasons. Once you change P0.06, P0.07, and P0.19, you can unlock higher output frequencies. Just keep an eye on your motor’s rated RPM to make sure it’s rated for 70Hz operation.

    Yes, and if you’re planning to control it manually with the jog knob, make sure P0.03 is set to 0 (panel control). Otherwise, it’ll ignore the knob and rely on external signals. I usually use the jog function to test different speeds before wiring external control.

    That’s great advice — thanks! Everything is running smoothly now.
