    Looking for a 24V DC Motor to Replace a Pneumatic Gun

    Hi guys,
    Right now, we've got a gearbox in our setup and we're spinning it using a pneumatic gun. It works, but we'd like to switch to a motor instead.
    What we're looking for:
    1. Prefer 24V DC (230V AC could also work)
    2. Minimum torque: 15Nm
    3. Speed: 300rpm
    Total qty will be 40 motors, but first we need 1 demo unit to test at our site. Any recommendations on what motor specs we should go for? Thanks.

    Hi Bohen,
    We recommend a 600W 24V DC 3000rpm brushless motor equipped with a planetary reducer with a speed ratio of 10:1, with a final output of 300rpm, 17 N.m.

    If you're replacing a pneumatic gun, just make sure you're not underestimating the torque spikes. 15Nm minimum is fine on paper, but real-world loads can jump a bit. 17Nm gives you some margin, though.

    Bohen, 600W at 24V is going to pull some decent current. Make sure your DC supply is sized properly. Also, double-check whether that 17Nm is continuous torque after the gearbox, not just peak.

    Got it, thanks everyone. We'll review the 600W 24VDC BLDC motor with 10:1 planetary gearbox (300rpm, 17 N.m output) and check the drawing in detail. We'll also confirm the continuous torque rating and make sure our 24V supply can handle the current before moving ahead with the demo unit.
