    I0: Two pulse inputs (encoder);
I1: INA (one input for switching input)

    Digital counter up/down input modes:
    Mode A: Up (addition)
INA counts up. INB is GATE function. When INB is high level (or shorted with +12V), INA input is forbidden.
Digital counter up down mode a
Mode B: Up/down (addition or subtraction)
INA counts up. INB is count-down control function. When INB is high level, INA turns count-up into count-down.
Digital counter up down mode b
Mode C: Up/down (addition and subtraction)
INA counts up, INB counts down.
Digital counter up down mode c
    Mode D: Up/down (for encoder)
INA signal leads INB signal (count-up). INA signal lags INB signal (count-down). It is often used for encoder or grating input.

    Tips: Components of digital counter

    1. A, B input channels
The function of the input channel is amplifying and shaping the measured signal to a standard pulse signal.
    2. Door
The gate is a comparison circuit used for quantizing. It can control whether the counting pulse signal can input digital counter.
    3. Counting and display unit
The counting and display circuit is used to count the pulse signal from the main gate and display the result of the counting as a digital form. For easy reading, digital counter usually uses a decimal counting circuit.
    4. Time base unit
The time base circuit is mainly composed of a crystal oscillator, a frequency divider, and a frequency multiplier. The time base circuit is mainly used to generate various standard time signals. The timing signal can be single or multinomial.
    5. Control unit
The function of the control circuit is to generate three control signals of gating signal, registering signal and zero resetting signal. So that various circuit units of digital counter can automatically measure in an orderly process according to the sequence of preparation, measurement and display.

In this video, ATO will show you how to wire a digital counter. And how to set the basic parameters of digital counter.

Can use the buzzer alert if quantity achieve ?
I have some inquiries about your 8 digit digital counter: Here are a couple of question.

    1. This digital counter can connect with buzzer and limit sensor for output?
    2. If quantity achieve 5 millions it will trigger to buzzer that we install
    3.  Please email me if not understand the question

    1. Its output is only a relay (switch output), so you need to build a buzzer power circuit if you connect an external buzzer, and the same is true for connecting a limit switch.
But I'm not quite sure why you want to connect a limit switch on the output.
For specific selection, please refer to AL1&AL2 in the selection table below the parameters.
    2. It can output an alarm signal after counting 5millions (relay output, switch output).
    3. Please contact us before sales if you do not understand.
Can I use the 8-digit digital counter with the PNP NO output signal of the proximity sensor?
We are using a PNP NO output signal proximity sensor (to count the values, maximum counting rate up to 200rpm). Can I use your 8 digit counter with a PNP NO output signal of proximity sensor?

    ATO Responded
Yes. We confirm that 8 digits counter (SKU: ATO-DIGC-FH8D) supports PNP proximity switch output signal.
My question about 8-digit digital counter
I have some inquiries about your 8 digit digital counter: Here are a couple of question.
    1. Say if I set my counter to 10million count and it reached a value of 5 million and there was a power outage or someone shuts of the power at 5million count. So when the power is turned back on, will it hold its value and start counting from 5 million count or will become zero.
    2. Do I have to use only the proximity switch that you suggested or I can use any 24VDC PNP proximity switch to it.
    3. It will trigger a relay output when the preset value is reached of 10million counts.
    4. External reset can be used when it reaches is preset value.
    5. If this is the right fit, I will need four of these. What would be the lead time.

    ATO Responded
Yes, all these features are supported.
    1. You can hold its value and start counting from 5 million count and can start from zero, both the two functions are supported.
    2. You can use any 24VDC PNP proximity switch to it.
    3. Yes, it will trigger a relay output when the preset value reaches of 10million counts.
    4. External reset can be used at any time, and you can use internal or external reset when the preset value is reached.
    5. Lead time: 4-5 days.
