ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) Selection for E-Board BLDC Motor

The speed of BLDC motor does not exceed the speed of ESC, it can be matched and used.
Brushless DC motor speed calculation formula: battery voltage * motor KV value.
Brushless DC motor stator speed calculation formula: motor KV value * battery voltage * motor pole pairs.
The limit speed of V4 series ESC is 60000 ERPM.
The limit speed of V6 series ESC is 15000 OERPM.
If the maximum speed of BLDC motor exceeds the speed of electric speed controller, the ESC can also be matched by reducing the working voltage of motor. But we do not recommend this, because it does not really play the role of brushless DC motor.

Tips: Functions of electric skateboard BLDC motor controller.

Controller is the core control device of an electric skateboard BLDC motor, which is used to control the start, stop, and speed of the electric skateboard motor. There are separate and integral types of electric skateboard brushless motor controllers.

Separate motor controller means that the main body of controller and display part are separated. This way shortens the connection distance between the controller, the power supply and the motor.

The control part and the display part of the integral motor controller are integrated into a special plastic box. There are unequal numbers of small holes on the panel of the box. The corresponding position in the hole is equipped with light-emitting diodes to indicate speed, power supply and remaining battery power.

Protection functions of the controller: brake power cutting, speed limit protection, over current protection, overload protection, under speed protection, under voltage protection.

Brushless motor reduces rpm

We would supply 24VDC from a switched power supply.
I don’t see a torque curve provided. Would we be able to reduce rpm and still have decent torque I wonder?

You can use a 24V switching power supply as a power supply.
Unfortunately, we do not provide a torque graph for our Outrunner Brushless Motor.
We haven't tested it at low speed (around 1000rpm), so we don't have a specific output torque at low speed.
We do not guarantee whether the model you mentioned meets your requirements, but we suggest that you buy a model for testing.

I need a brushless motor

I have a large and heavy cart. It weighs 1600lbs. I want to modify it because it has an electric motor to help me move it. It doesn't need to move fast. Less than 4-5mph
Maybe even 2mph is fine.
It's a two axel cart with 12 inch wheels.

According to your situation, we need to confirm the motor power, working voltage, speed, and whether it needs to configure gearbox, etc. and other parameters, so it's better to check cart manufacturers about these parameters, so you can recommend the most suited BLDC motor.

Low cost, great 12S brushless motor

This is my first time to buy this 200 KV 12 S brushless motor. I am very satisfy with this BLDC motor. It runs quietly and smoothly. And the price is reasonable, I will buy it again.
