Existing reviews of 50A DC Reversing Contactor, 2 pole, 12V/24V/48V
For the 50A DC commutator contactor ATO-DCCON-R50, would you recommend connecting two freewheeling diodes to its coil contacts (forward and reverse) to prevent current/voltage spikes during motor forward/reverse switching? If so, could you recommend suitable freewheeling diode models and/or specifications? Furthermore, could you provide vibration/shock data for this component? Does this component meet MIL-STD-810G vibration/shock requirements? If not, could you provide alternative components suitable for harsh environments that meet MIL-STD-810G requirements?

1. Installing freewheeling diodes is recommended; this is better for protecting circuit stability.
2. Our product has a shock stability of 20g and a strength of 50g. This component does not meet MIL-STD-810G vibration/shock requirements. Sorry, there are currently no products that meet this standard.
I am working on a project that involves a linear actuator that uses 10 amps and 24 volts DC. I would like to use your SKU: ATO-DCCON-R50. I would like to know if the contacts in this unit interlock so that if I use the buttons on the system and pressing the "up" button activates one coil and pressing the "down" button activates the other coil, will it also activate the other coil and contacts?

Our contactor does not have the contact interlock feature you mentioned, it only controls one coil and the other coil is not activated.

This 50A contactor is a good reversing contactor, I bought to replace of my original Polaris winch part, easy to install, so far it is working great.
