    Tips: What is Rotary Encoder?

    This is a detector that can output angle data within one revolution of the motor to an external target. Absolute encoders are generally capable of outputting 360° with 8 to 12 bits. Incremental encoders have the disadvantage of losing axis position in the event of a power failure. However, with absolute encoders, the axis position is not lost even in the event of a power failure. Various codes such as binary code and BCD code can be output. Absolute encoders are more expensive, more precise and larger than incremental encoders.

    Great value of this absolute encoder!
    The encoders arrived tightly packed in a small plastic box, and all the parts and accessories ar protected well. Replaced a broken rotary encoder on a drum machine. Took a chance and it worked!
