    300W brushless DC (BLDC) motor is compact 86mm flange size, high performance and cheap price 3 phase electric motor. It works at 24V or 48V DC power supply, providing 3000 rpm rated speed, 0.96Nm holding torque and peak torque to 2.87 Nm. The matched controller is available here and it can combine with a worm gearbox or planetary gearbox which has a wide range of gear ratios for choice.

    • Instantaneous maximum torque line
      The maximum torque momentarily impacts the load when the motor is started.
      Beyond this torque, the over-current protection of the driver will cause the motor to stop.
    • Short time operation area
      The motor can run at a short time within this torque range at different speeds. 
      If the operation time is too long, the motor will generate heat, which may cause the motor to stop or burn.
    • Rated operating torque line
      The rated torque of motor running at different speeds, and the motor can run for a long time at this torque.
    • Continuous operating area
      When the motor rotates at different speeds, it runs continuously in this corresponding zone.

    TIPS: Can brushless DC motor be used as generator?

    Generator can achieve self-sufficiency in current, BLDC motor can not supply power to itself, its current and voltage still depend on the power supply current to drive, in terms of safety measures, the two also adopt completely different protective measures.

    If brushless DC motor completely does the work of the generator, its own hardware not to mention, considering the function can not fully achieve the function of power generation. If the generator is used to do brushless dc motor work, its own conditions are not appropriate, it has no way to achieve speed regulation function.

    Therefore, brushless DC motor is not suitable for being used as a generator, and it is impossible for a generator to replace a brushless dc motor.

    ATO BLDC Motor Hall Sensor Controller Connection & Control

    In this video, ATO shows you the connection and control operation of 200W (ATO-BLDC-200R3), 300W (ATO-BLDC-300R3), 1000W (ATO-BLDC-1000R3), 1500W (ATO-BLDC-1500R3) BLDC motor with controller. After the wiring is completed, we can use the speed control knob of the controller to adjust the speed.

    How to Use Controller to Reverse and Stop the BLDC Motor

    This video mainly shows you how to use BLDC motor controller connecting with an external potentiometer to adjust the speed of the motor, to naturally/urgently stop the motor, and forward or reverse control of the motor. In many cases, we can't directly control the speed by controller, so connecting with an external potentiometer is a good choice. Similarly, we can stop the motor or rotate the motor in the opposite direction without approaching the controller.

    The video shows how to use voltage analog signal to control the speed of ATO BLDC motor. Therefore, we can control the speed of BLDC motor in the same way with the 0~5V signal sent by PLC or microcontroller.

    What is the lubricant on your planetary gearbox?
    Need to know, what is the lubricant on your planetary gearbox, is it grease or oil? Give me more info, and does it wear due to friction?

    Our planetary gearboxes use grease, not oil. When the planetary gearbox is running, the grease inside will form an oil film that will lubricate. Regarding how to prevent wear, our gear surface hardness is 62 degrees, there will be some wear during operation, but it will not affect the use.

    What is the max Momentum / Torque of the Worm-Gear can handle?
    In the case, our vehicle would cut off the electricity and the gear stop turning. That would mean, the wheels of our vehicle would get blocked by the gear. Then the wheels are sliding over the ground and indicate a certain torque into the gearbox.
    So: What is the max Momentum / Torque of the Worm-Gear can handle? Does your gear have selflocking?

    A. When the motor is stopped, the external load impact force on the reducer is not a problem as long as it does not exceed the rated output torque of the worm-gear (45NM).
    B. The planetary gears hasn't self-locking.
