Hello, I purchased a package with a digital rotary torque sensor (Model: ATO-TQS-DYN-200). Could anyone guide me on how to connect it to an RS485 cable?
Thanks in advance!

Michael, please check the 485 terminal wiring instructions in the attached picture, and you can also refer to the user manual of the sensor: https://www.ato.com/Content/doc/digital-rotary-torque-sensor-user-manual-upgrade-version.pdf

Yes, I have seen the wiring diagram of the sensor cable but how to connect the torque sensor cable to the USB - universal serial cable? I have not seen instructions for this in the manual. Please advise.

The software comes with a USB to RS485 cable as shown in the following picture:

I am confused by the picture that you provided considering that the red and black wires are power wires, not signal wires.
Please advise which wire to connect to the USB - universal serial cable to properly receive data on the laptop.

Michael, the yellow and blue line in the picture is the signal line of 485 communication connected to the USB - universal serial cable.

Yes I am aware of that, I have the diagram. Are these signal wires connected in the right place on the USB universal cable or do they need to be in another spot? Where do the wires need to be for the sensor to connect to the data collection program?

To connect the sensor to the data collection program, and about the connection of the USB to 485 cables, you can refer to our demonstration video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hog5IoQGFzc

Thanks for the detailed instructions! I'll check out the video and try swapping the connections if necessary.
