Existing reviews of Hall Effect Current Sensor 400A/2000A/3000A/5000A/8000A to 20000A
I have some questions about the ATO-CUS-ACDC20000 Hall Effect sensor (current specification 20000A). The input power is ±15V. Can it be connected to the positive and negative terminals of a 15V DC power supply? Will this work? My power supply does not have a ground terminal.

You can choose a switching power supply that outputs ±15V DC. We recommend that you choose a switching power supply with SKU ATO-SMPS-300-1015 from our website to power the sensor. The URL is https://www.ato.com/15v-dc-10a-300w-switching-power-supply. This switching power supply does not require grounding.
I am working with this hall current sensor and my model has a hole size of 132*52mm and a measuring range of DC 0-2000A. Could you provide me with information on how the voltage output from the current sensor corresponds to the current being measured? Additionally, I would like to know the factory calibration settings for this sensor.

The voltage 0-5V output by the current sensor corresponds to the current value 0-2000A, and they are linearly proportional. The sensor has been calibrated at the factory and you can use it normally. Note: The direction of the arrow is the direction of the current.
Is your Hall effect current sensor output bidirectional?
For your ATO-CUS-ACDC20000 current sensor, it says the sensor output is 0-5VDC. Wish to confirm that output is bi-directional?

Yes, the output is bi-directional, it is 0 ~±5V.
Output is 0 to +5VDC in one direction of current flow and 0 to -5VDC in the opposite direction of current flow.
Our requirements for current sensor
We are looking to order a suitable /-15 V DC power supply. What is the current draw of the ATO-CUS-ACDC20000? Also, are there any requirements around a minimum voltage ripple from the supply? Please let me know any special requirements that the power supply may need to ensure compatibility with the ATO-CUS-ACDC20000.

1. The current consumption of ATO-CUS-ACDC20000 is 0.5W, and the output voltage ripple V1V2≤ 150mV.
2. We recommend ATO-SMPS-D20, input voltage AC180-264VAC, 50/60Hz, output V1: +15V (0.8A), V2: -15V (0.2A), price is 62.5USD/ PCS, free shipping.
Please see the attachment.
Can you tell me some parameters of the Hall current sensor?
Could you tell me the impedance of the ATO-CUS-ACDC20000 sensor? The output signal is 5VDC for AC and DC?

The impedance of the ATO-CUS-ACDC20000 sensor is approx 250Ω, power consumption ≤0.5W, and the output signal is 5VDC for AC and DC.
For your current sensor of 2000A range, how much over range is permitted before clipping. We are hoping for 2400A (120% )?
