Existing reviews of Proximity Sensor, Inductive, M18, 3 Wire, 120V
We plan to purchase a proximity sensor (inductive, M18 thread, two-wire, 120V) from ATO, but we need to know its maximum mounting torque to determine if it is suitable for our application. Thank you very much for your help.

Regarding the ATOM18 specification inductive proximity sensor (SKU: ATO-PROS-I18) you mentioned, we recommend a maximum thread mounting torque between 20 N·m and 40 N·m, with around 30 N·m generally considered the safest.
Is this sensor measuring a distance and sending out the data or is it only sending a signal when a specific distance is achieved? How is it powered? I am looking for a small assembled prox sensor to detect when an object is 1-2 inches away.

It's not sending out data. Here is the supply: voltage DC 12-24V (6-36V), AC 110-220V (90-250V).
