ATO 2 inch spring loaded pressure relief valve automatically opens at a set pressure and provides proportional and slow pressure relief. A main application is the protection of a pump in a closed circuit.

Installation Precautions

1. For easy operation and maintenance, the pressure relief valve is generally installed upright on a horizontal pipe.
2. During installation, care should be taken to ensure that the flow direction of the medium in the pipeline is consistent with the direction of the arrow shown on the valve.
3. In order to prevent the valve from being blocked by debris, a filter should be installed at the front end of the pressure relief valve.
4. In situations where the supply cannot be interrupted, a bypass valve should be provided or a dual-circuit method should be used, one for use and one for backup.
5. When passing water for the first time, care should be taken to exhaust the air in the pipeline to avoid false pressure, to protect the pressure gauge and obtain the correct pressure.

Tips: How to maintain a pressure relief valve?

1. 1. Avoid keeping dirt and debris from entering the decompression protection system of the decompression valve. The pipe network of the decompression system of the newly built or renovated project is likely to leave sand, hemp, and sundries. Before putting it into operation, it should generally be washed with water. After meeting the cleaning requirements, the pressure relief valve and filter element should be installed at last, so as to prevent debris from flowing into the pressure relief valve and prevent the core of the pressure relief valve from being stuck. After the system starts to work, whether the water flow of the decompression system is guaranteed to be smooth or not is closely related to the flow capacity of the filter installed on the system. If the filter element is seriously adsorbed by debris, it will affect the work of the decompression valve. Filters are checked regularly to remove contamination in time.
2. The spare pressure relief valve group should be rotated regularly. Most of the domestic water supply pressure relief valve pressure relief protection system of high-rise buildings is set up in vertical partitions of water supply, generally on the main pipe of each water supply partition. Both sides of the decompression passage are supplemented by gate valves or butterfly valves, which can open and close any decompression passage.
