    Tips: Notice for soft starter

    1. The installation and maintenance of the soft starter shall be carried out by qualified professional.
    2. Do not use high-voltage test equipment (such as megger) to test the insulation of soft starter.
    3. If the motor is required to run reversibly, an inverting contactor can be installed on the incoming line side. Be careful not to install it on the output side of soft starter.
    4. The coil-type motor rotor can be winded with appropriate starter resistance to improve the starting torque, the soft starter can also be used to start the coil-type motor. When the motor reaches the top speed and keeps stable, starting resistance shall be bypassed to reduce power loss.
    5. It is strictly forbidden to place the power factor compensation capacitor on the output side of the soft starter and the capacitor cannot be switched during start-up.

    Soft Starter Works with a Bypass Contactor

    Soft starter works with a bypass contactor saving energy by eliminating thyristor losses during the run. The bypass contactor shunts the current flowing through the soft starter switch circuit to reduce heat accumulation in the soft starter power electronics during motor operation. This provides maximum efficiency and prolongs the life of soft-start switching components because they only work during the start and stop cycles of the motor.

    excellent 300 hp soft starter
    I've been using the 300 hp soft starter in our workshop for a few weeks now. It handles multiple voltages smoothly and the protective functions give me real peace of mind. The only small issue is the 20-starts-per-hour limit, which can be a bit restrictive during peak operations. still, it's a solid and dependable unit for the price.

    Soft starter is not in remote or at the terminals
    We have a soft-starter that works in local or key-pad, but not in remote or at the  terminals.

    The soft starter you bought is not configured with RS485 communication. So if you want to achieve remote control start, you can only use external cables and control switches for start / stop control.
