Tips: How to protect the digital fluid pressure control switch from pressure spikes and hydraulic shock?

In systems with pulsation, hammering, or sudden pressure surges, it is recommended to install a pressure snubber, damping orifice, or throttle restrictor at the sensor of the pressure switch’s inlet. These components suppress instantaneous spikes, stabilize the pressure waveform, and significantly reduce impact on the sensing diaphragm. For severe hydraulic shock, a buffered tee joint or capillary tube can also be used to enhance protection.

Dependable pressure control solution

I installed this digital fluid pressure control switch on one of our hydraulic lines, and it has been performing exceptionally well. The real-time pressure display is clear and accurate, and the silicon piezoresistive sensor reacts quickly to changes without any noticeable drift.
