Tips: Common problems with conductivity sensors

    • Electrode storage: If the electrode is not used for a long time, please keep it dry and store it. Avoid storing it in a highly polluted environment to avoid measurement errors caused by pollutants accumulating on the electrode surface.
    • Electrode use: Before use, remove the protective cover of the electrode and compare it with the standard solution to ensure that the sensor reading is correct.
    • Reasons for sensor calibration failure: The sensor is contaminated. There are pollutants on the graphite sheet, which cause abnormal measurement data. You need to use a cotton swab to wipe the graphite sheet. If the pollutants have scaled, you need to polish the surface of the graphite sheet. Standard solution contamination, incorrect standard solution values may not be recognized by the sensor, resulting in calibration errors.
    • Sensor cannot communicate: Check whether the electrical connection of the device is correct and whether there is water leakage and corrosion at the interface. Check whether the power supply is correct. Check whether the sensor power consumption is normal <40mA@12VDC. Check whether the 485 address is correct.
