Hi everyone, I am looking for a moisture meter to use on a dried sea moss raw material we currently use. Is there a suitable product for this application?

We recommend the halogen moisture meter ATO-MS105, which is mainly used for measuring the moisture content of food, chemical raw materials, plastic, and powder particles.
    Measuring range: 0–100%
    Moisture readability: 0.01%
    Working voltage: 220V
The halogen moisture analyzer can directly put the dried seaweed into a 90mm diameter tray to measure the moisture.

We use a similar halogen moisture analyzer for dried herbs and seaweed powders. It works well as long as the sample is evenly spread in the tray. Fast and much more accurate than handheld pin-type meters.

Just to add, halogen moisture meters are generally preferred for food-related materials because they provide direct moisture percentage results. For dried sea moss, consistency in sample size is key for repeatable readings.

Agree with the recommendation. We’ve tested seaweed flakes before, and halogen drying methods gave stable and repeatable results compared to infrared-only models.
