    The compression load cell is a device used to measure pressure changes. Its working principle is based on the Piezoresistive Effect. When pressure is applied, the piezoresistive material physically deforms. This deformation causes the material's resistivity to change, producing a voltage signal. By measuring changes in this voltage signal, information about pressure changes can be obtained.Compression load cells have capacity range from 300kg, 500kg, 1000kg, 10 ton, 25 ton, 50 ton to 100 ton. Load cell capacity can be customized according to customer requirements.

    After purchasing one ATO load cell, you can buy a special digital panel meter to obtain readings directly, or buy a transmitter to output standard signal to PLC, DCS and other systems. Customized output signal is 0~5V, 0~10V, 0~±10V, or 4-20mA.

    We will be using four (4) load cells ATO-LC-P01 (0-5 ton), connected to junction box ATO-LCBOX-10I, and then output to display controller ATO-DPM-LC5D. Please specify the power supply for this arrangement.

    The ATO-DPM-LC5D can output excitation power for use with the ATO-LCBOX-10I and load cell. The ATO-DPM-LC5D is powered by 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz.
    We are looking at purchasing one of your compression load cells.
    We will be using it to collect data from a test static rocket engine test fire. We are expecting a thrust curve of 1000 to 3000 lbs. Will your 2 ton load cell be sensitive enough to detect these loads? Also the part is labeled as a 2 ton load cell. Is this metric or customary?

    Yes, this load cell can be used to collect data from a test static rocket engine test fire.

    Note: The force-bearing point from the sensor is the raised area in the center. The measurement unit is metric ton=1000Kg.

    Can you tell us what the ambient operating temperature is at which the ignition engine tests thrust?
    How to add these options of load cell?
    Wanting to purchase 4 of these at 5 tun that are sealed with output impedance of 350±3Ω. How to add these options?

    This load cell can be made with an output impedance of 353Ω, and the price remains the same.
    There are currently 5 units in stock. The lead time will be approx 5-7 days.
    Calibration requirement for compression load cell
    Just placed an order for the ATO-LCST-TJH-4A (5 ton).
    The sales representative that I spoke with had said there is field calibration that will be needed to be done that ATO’s technical team would assist on and would like to get a head start on what will be required for this.  So if you have any relevant documentation that I could get ahead of time I would much appreciate it.

    Yes, we noticed you purchased a load cell. Usually load cells are used together with display instruments or transmitters and need to be calibrated before use.
    what is the decimal capability of the 500kg load cell? 0.01? 0.05 ? I am after two decimal place accuracy  but still a high load ~500kg

    What you want to know is its measurement accuracy at 500kg? If it is, the result is 0.15kg.
    Solutions to problems with load cells
    Our Application to weigh 6 point at a time and we need a controller with 6 channel to connect all 6 load cell in same controller to identify independence load cell weight and consolidated weight. Please provide a solution for the same.

    No controller can be connected to 6 sensors at the same time! But you can use junction box to measure the consolidated value.
    Can the compression load cell be sealed?
    Are the compression load cell a sealed unit? I want to see if it will leak internal trapped air? Best will be if they are not air tight and are open to the air.

    No, the compression load cell is not sealed, it's open to the air. But the factory can make it sealed. If required (free option), please specify when ordering.
