Tips: How does Methane (CH4) Sensor Work?

The infrared methane sensor is a gas detector specially designed to monitor the concentration of methane gas in the pipeline. It is suitable for the detection of methane gas in coal mine gas drainage pipelines, gas drainage pump stations, gas transmission pipelines in gas filling stations, gas transmission pipelines in gas power plants, city gas pipelines, and natural gas pipelines.

The instrument adopts infrared absorption principle, diffusion sampling, digital temperature compensation, integrated dust-water separator and other technologies, with high detection accuracy, strong environmental adaptability, stability and reliability.

Functional characteristics of infrared methane sensor Adopt infrared absorption principle, reliable performance, long service life, and the adjustment period is more than 1 year. The detection of methane concentration in pressure and negative pressure pipelines adopts infrared remote control to set sensor parameters and calibration, which is simple and convenient to use. The temperature compensation is accurate, the accuracy will not drift due to temperature changes, and the anti-interference ability is strong. The detection accuracy is not affected by water vapor, H2S, H2, SO2, etc. Provide frequency, current, RS-485, CAN and other data output interfaces, compatible with various monitoring system substations.

Methane (CH4) Sensor
Can you please tell me if this sensor can work in a vacuum around -35 to -50 in. w.c or around -1 to -2 psi? And do you provide a breakout or development board for this sensor?
