Installation
Note: The mounting plate requires corresponding mounting holes. If none are present, drill holes at the appropriate locations on the mounting plate.
1. Place the product into the mounting slot.

2. Secure the timer with two screws.

3. Refer to the image below: wrap the sensor wire around the engine spark plug at least 5 times and secure it with a zip tie.
Note: Improper wrapping of the sensor wire may affect the accuracy of test data.

Applications
Designed for gasoline engines, this RPM hour meter is compatible with most models on the market, delivering precise RPM monitoring and runtime tracking.
Tips: Working Principle of an Hour Meter for Gasoline Engine
rpm hour meter for gasoline engine operates by detecting the ignition signal generated when the engine is running. Each ignition pulse is converted into an electrical signal, allowing the meter to determine whether the engine is operating. When the ignition signal is present, the hour meter begins accumulating operating time and, in RPM-enabled models, calculates engine speed based on pulse frequency. The accumulated operating time is continuously recorded and stored in internal memory, ensuring accurate long-term tracking even during power interruptions. This working principle allows hour meters to provide reliable data for maintenance scheduling, service intervals, and overall engine lifespan management.
