Recommended Portable H2 Detector for Pre-entry into Battery Room

Hello, I am looking for a Hydrogen detector to use for pre-entry into our battery rooms. Something we can push a sample hose through a sample port. I see there is a portable H2 gas detector GD200-H2 model at ATO.com. Would this work for the application I’m looking for? Also, what are the calibration requirements for this? Is this something we need to bump test monthly or just before use?

1. For H2 leakage in the battery room, we recommend you use a range of 0-100% LEL.
2. Our instrument comes with a built-in pump. Meanwhile, we will provide you with a hose. Before you enter the battery room, insert the hose into the test space and the reading will appear on the instrument's screen. So it meets your requirements.
3. Before leaving the factory, we will calibrate the instrument and provide you with the factory test report. Calibration is usually required once a year.

What are the requirements for routine bump tests other than before use, is it weekly, or monthly? These would only be used in rare occurrences, maybe 1-2 times per year.

We have tested and calibrated it before leaving the factory, so the gas detector does not need a routine bump test before use and can be used directly for measurement. It is generally required to do a bump calibration test once a year.

Is the pump calibration test something sent back to the factory or can it be accomplished in the field? If needing to be sent back to the factory, what is the lead time on this?

It can be sent back to the factory and it can be accomplished in the field. If you want to calibrate by himself, he needs to buy a calibration kit and buy calibration standard gas in the local market. Or he can directly send it back to the factory, we will provide the calibration service for free within one year, but need the customer to bear the shipping.
