    Well Pump Troubleshooting

    A well pump refers to a water pump that submerges the impeller into a well to pump water. A well pump with a lift below 50 m is called a shallow well pump, and a well pump with a lift above 50 m is called a deep well pump.

    The electric motor for the deep well water pump cannot be started

    The main reasons why the motor for the vertical exploratory well pump cannot be started are:

    1. The phase sequence of the power supply is reversed; the solution is to exchange the wiring positions of any two phases of the power supply.
    2. The power supply phase is missing; the treatment method is to check the power supply, the control protection switch and the wiring of the motor for the vertical deep well water pump, etc., to find out the cause of the power supply phase loss, remove the fault, and restore the normal power supply.
    3. The power supply voltage is too low; the treatment method is to check the cause of the low power supply voltage and eliminate the fault. And adjust the voltage to above 340V.
    4. The load is too large; the treatment method is to check whether the water pump is faulty and whether the power of the water pump and the motor match. Find the cause of the excessive load, troubleshoot or adjust the load of the pump and motor appropriately.Well pump

    Insufficient flow and head of the pump

    The motor of the vertical deep well water pump runs normally, but the water pump does not produce water:

    1. The water level is too low and the pump cannot absorb water. The treatment method is to add a pump pipe and drive shaft.
    2. The method to deal with the blockage of the water filter is to lift the deep well water pump out of the well, remove the blockage of the water filter and reinstall it.

    The sound of the motor running is abnormal

    2. Motor bearing damage The treatment method is to check the cause of the motor bearing damage, remove the fault, and replace the bearing.
    3. Pump failure The treatment method is to check the cause of the pump failure, eliminate the failure of the pump, and make the vertical deep well pump work normally.

    The running current of the motor is too large

    1. The clearance of the impeller of the water pump is too small, and the impeller and the guide vane rub against each other. The treatment method is to adjust the clearance of the impeller of the water pump and improve the installation position of the impeller of the water pump.
    2. The water pump is not installed straight, and the friction between the partially bent drive shaft and the bearing is too large. The solution is to disassemble the pump, straighten the bent drive shaft, and reinstall the pump to meet the specified requirements.
    3. The water output of the pump is too large and the shaft power is too large. The treatment method is to remove one or several stages of impellers to reduce the water output of the pump, so that the shaft power of the pump can match the power of the motor.

    Vibration occurs during the operation of vertical deep well water pump and motor

    The main reason for the vibration in the operation of the water pump and the motor is generally caused by the wear of the drive shaft. The treatment method is to lift the deep well water pump device out of the well. Replace worn driveshafts.

    The anti-reverse device of the motor fails

    The main reason for the failure of the anti-reverse device of the electric motor for the vertical deep well water pump is that the anti-return cylindrical pin cannot fall down or is worn. The treatment method is to disassemble the anti-reverse disc, wipe the oil stains on the cylindrical pin, clean the pin hole of the anti-reverse disc, and replace the worn anti-return cylindrical pin.
