Tips: How much output current does a DC power supply need?

The required output current depends on the maximum working current of the load. A regulated DC power supply should provide more current than the load actually requires. Small digital devices may need around 1A, handheld radios about 3A, laptops around 5A, vehicle radios 10–12A, and 100W shortwave radios about 20A. Select a power supply with sufficient current capacity for the intended load.

Pretty DC power supply for the price.

Pretty DC power supply for the price. Compared to others I've used in the past, this one seems more powerful and reliable. Tested the outputs all within spec. This will work good for small projects.
