The timer relay or time delay relay is composed of two types: on delay timer and off delay timer.
• On delay timer
When the coil of the timer relay is energized, the contact of on delay type will act after the time limit (the normally closed contact is open and the normally open contact is closed). The contact is immediately restored after the coil is de-energized.
• Off delay timer
When the coil of time delay relay is powered on, the contact of off delay type contact acts immediately (the normally closed contact is open, the normally open contact is closed). After the coil is powered off, the contact will not return to normal until the time limit is over.
