    How Do You Maintain Your Air Filter?

    Air filters should be transported, installed, and used in accordance with requirements to ensure effective use. After using various filters for a period of time, due to the collection of dust on the surface of the filter material, the efficiency and resistance of the filter decrease, affecting the cleanliness of the air supply. At this time, it is necessary to replace the filter in a timely manner. Below, ATO industrial automation will introduce the maintenance and upkeep methods of air filters.

    1. Before installing various types of filters, it is not allowed to open the packaging bag or film, and the filters should be stored in the direction marked on the packaging box; During the transportation process, it should be handled and handled gently to avoid severe vibration and collision.
    2. For high-efficiency filters, the installation direction must be correct: when using corrugated plate combination filters for vertical installation, the corrugated plate must be perpendicular to the ground; The connection between the vertical and frame of the filter is strictly prohibited from leakage, deformation, damage, and glue leakage. After installation, it is necessary to ensure that the inner wall is clean and free from floating dust, oil stains, rust, and debris.
    3. Inspection method: Observation or wiping with white silk cloth for inspection.
    4. Before installing the high-efficiency filter, the clean room must be thoroughly cleaned and wiped to purify the interior of the air conditioning system. If there is dust accumulation, it should be cleaned and wiped again to meet the cleaning requirements. If a high-efficiency filter is installed in the technical interlayer or ceiling, the technical layer or ceiling should also be thoroughly cleaned and wiped.
    5. The transportation and storage of high-efficiency filters should be placed in the direction marked by the manufacturer. During transportation, it should be handled with care to prevent severe vibration and collision, and rough loading and unloading is not allowed.Air filter
    6. Before installing the high-efficiency filter, the packaging must be unpacked at the installation site for visual inspection, including whether the filter paper, sealant, and frame are damaged; Whether the side length, diagonal, and thickness dimensions meet the requirements; Whether the frame has burrs and rust spots (metal frame); Is there a product qualification certificate and whether the technical performance meets the design requirements. Then inspect according to the prescribed method, and install immediately if qualified.
    7. High efficiency filters with a cleanliness level equal to or higher than 100 for clean rooms should be leak tested according to the specified method before installation and meet the specified requirements.
    8. When installing the high-efficiency filter, the arrow on the outer frame should be consistent with the airflow direction; When installed vertically, the crease direction of the filter paper should be perpendicular to the ground.
    9. When installing coarse efficiency flat or foldable filters, the galvanized mesh surface should be in the direction of the back of the air outlet. When installing a bag filter, the length direction of the filter bag should be perpendicular to the ground, and the direction of the filter bag should not be installed parallel to the ground.
    10. Under normal usage conditions, flat, foldable coarse or medium efficiency filters are generally replaced once every 1-2 months. After replacing the filter material, it can be soaked and rinsed with clean water containing detergent, then dried before being replaced; After 1-2 washes, a new filter must be replaced to ensure filtration efficiency.
    11. For bag type coarse or medium efficiency filters, they should be replaced with new ones after 3-4 months of normal use (average 8 hours per day, continuous operation);
    12. For sub high efficiency filters, they should also be replaced after a general use period of 5-6 months under normal usage conditions (average of 8 hours per day, continuous operation).
    13. For the above filters, if there is a pressure difference gauge or pressure sensor before and after the air filter, the coarse efficiency filter must be replaced when the pressure difference is greater than 250Pa; For medium efficiency filters, when the pressure difference is greater than 330Pa, they must be replaced; For sub high efficiency filters, when the pressure difference is greater than 400Pa, they must be replaced and the original filter cannot be reused.
