    Electric Pressure Washer Troubleshooting

    The high-pressure washer is a very important industrial cleaning equipment with a wide range of applications, including sanitation, pipeline, and industrial cleaning. The operation process of the high-pressure cleaner is not complicated, but there will always be some problems during the long-term use of the equipment, which will affect normal use. Our operators should understand the solutions to some common faults. Below we will introduce common problems and solutions to you.

    During the long-term use of high-pressure washer equipment, many problems are encountered, such as insufficient pressure, water leakage from the safety valve, and no power to the cleaning machine. In fact, these problems are not difficult to solve, as long as we have enough understanding of the equipment, we can solve such problems well.

    Insufficient water pressure

    This indicates that the water supply pipe of the pressure washer is leaking. Find the leak point, re-strengthen or replace the water supply pipe;

    The tap water supply is insufficient, and the water inlet pipe is sucked flat: use a large water container to supply water;

    The water inlet filter element of the high-pressure cleaner is blocked: replace the water inlet filter element or solve the filter element blockage.

    The pressure washer does not produce water

    It means that the impeller of the high-pressureĀ water pump is seriously worn out, the deformation and bending of the pump shaft make the speed of the impeller slow down, or the water inlet pipe/pump body contains air and cannot absorb water. When encountering this situation, it is necessary to check in time whether the pressure of the water source is sufficient and whether the water inlet filter is blocked. It may be that the nozzle of the high-pressure cleaner is blocked, and the nozzle and high-pressure pipeline should be dredged.

    The last reason is that the internal pressure spring of the pressure regulating valve is broken/aging, and you need to replace the pressure spring of the pressure regulating valve.

    Safety valve leaks

    The pressure exceeds the pressure range of the equipment, resulting in nozzle blockage: first of all, you can check the pressure on the pressure gauge, and clear the nozzle.

    Check whether the internal pressure spring of the safety valve is broken/aging, and then replace the pressure spring of the safety valve.

    It may be that the safety valve thimble of the pressure washer is damaged, and you need to replace the safety valve thimble.

    The motor does not start

    It shows that the water outlet pressure switch is damaged/stuck: repair/reset the water outlet pressure switch; it may also be that the soft starter of the high-pressure cleaner is damaged: replace/reset the soft starter; the motor contactor of the high-pressure cleaner is damaged: replace the contactor.

    Leakage of high-pressure gun or high-pressure water pipe

    The high-pressure gun or high-pressure water pipe needs to be replaced; the pressure switch or the delay relay is damaged: replace the pressure switch or delay relay.

    Poor contact of power supply, wiring board, or socket: press the socket tightly.

    The pressure in the high-pressure gun of the high-pressure cleaner is not fully released: hold the trigger of the water gun firmly to release the pressure in the pump.

    The whole machine is not powered on

    1. The emergency stop switch of the electric pressure washer is not turned on: turn the emergency stop switch clockwise.

    3. The leakage protection switch pops up: reset the leakage protection switch, check whether there is a short circuit, and replace the fuse.

    Limited pressure regulation

    The electric pressure washer has a certain working pressure during operation, but the rated pressure of the equipment cannot be adjusted, or the pressure only stays within a certain range and cannot rise. In this case, it is necessary to judge whether the aperture of the high-pressure nozzle matches. If the pressure still does not go up after replacing the high-pressure nozzle, you need to check whether the pressure regulating valve is adjusted in place. If the fault persists after these two conditions are eliminated, it means that the water seal of the sealing component in the pump or the piston is damaged.

    After starting the equipment, the high-pressure water pump has no water injection. Most of the reasons are that the water inlet flow valve cannot be opened. If the problem still persists, it means that the high and low-pressure water circuits are connected in series. If this phenomenon occurs, it is necessary to contact a professional to assist in repairing it.

    The reason for this failure is likely to be - the power tube is burned or the transducer is faulty.

    No high-voltage output

    When the power switch of the electric pressure washer is turned on, although the indicator light is on, there is no output of high pressure. There are many factors that cause this kind of failure, and they are blown fuse, transducer failure, loosening of the connecting plug between the transducer and the high-voltage power board, or failure of the ultrasonic power device.

    Poor cleaning effect

    When the power switch is turned on, although the machine has a high-voltage output, the cleaning effect is not very good. The reasons for this phenomenon may be: the temperature of the liquid in the cleaning tank is too high, the cleaning liquid is not selected properly, the high-voltage frequency coordination is not adjusted well, or the cleaning liquid level in the cleaning tank is not appropriate, etc.

    The water pump has abnormal noise

    The first thing to judge is that the high-pressure water pump has inhaled air, and then check whether the flow valve spring or the crankcase bearing is damaged. In this case, you need to contact the manufacturer for assistance in maintenance.

    There is another situation that is caused by a lack of oil in the motor bearing. At this time, grease should be injected into the oil hole of the motor in time.

    The pressure drops after running

    If the pressure drops after the equipment has been running for a period of time, it is necessary to check in time whether the nozzle of the high-pressure cleaner is seriously worn. The nozzles of general equipment rarely wear out during use, but the high-pressure nozzles of some ultra-high-pressure equipment are likely to wear out during use and need to be replaced in time. In addition, pay attention to checking the sealing components inside the pressure regulating valve and water pump during daily use.

    The high-pressure water gun does not produce water

    The oil leakage of the high-pressure water pump is generally caused by damage to the oil seal, and the oil seal needs to be replaced in time. Moreover, when the high-pressure water pump is running, the crankshaft and connecting rod will continue to reciprocate. At this time, lubricating oil must be added for lubrication and cooling.

    When the pressure washer starts to work, some parts of the equipment may malfunction, causing the problem. Below are some common pressure washer parts that may need replacement or repair.

    Spark plug

    The spark plug is one of the parts of the electric pressure washer. When the spark plugs are damaged or dirty, the pressure washer may stop operating. This problem is easily solved. To solve the problem of dirty spark plugs, all the user needs to do is clean it with a wire brush, which will help remove all buildup from the electrodes. But if the spark plug is damaged, it must be replaced.

    Fuel tank cap

    If the user doesn't seal the fuel cap properly or it's faulty, it won't close. When this happens, air can enter the fuel tank and the engine will not start. Users should check the fuel tank cap to see if the O-ring is faulty. If the O-ring is in good working order, the user should firmly close the tank. But if the O-ring is faulty, it needs to be replaced.

    Ignition coils

    If the ignition coil is damaged, it will not be able to provide the spark to ignite the fuel in the engine. When this happens, the engine will not start.

    Carburetor

    The carburetor is the part responsible for mixing fuel and air in the correct ratio. If the carburetor is clogged, the engine may stall. The user can remove it and clean it with a carburetor cleaner, which will help remove any buildup, but should be replaced if the carburetor is faulty.
