Tips: Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge Thru-Coating Measurement Principle
In the standard measuring mode, the ultrasonic thickness gauge is to test the time difference T1 (See Figure) between the pulse emitted from the probe and the echo reflected back (pulse-echo).
In the thru-coating measuring mode, the gauge is to measure the time difference T2 (See Figure) between two continuous echoes (pulse-echo and echo-echo).
