    How to Disassemble Solenoid Valve?

A solenoid valve is an on/ off electromechanically operated valve which consists of an electromagnetic actuator (solenoid) and a valve body. The solenoid-plunger assembly is the valve actuator responsible for opening and closing the valve. This actuator can be arranged in such a way that the plunger action can either open or close only. There is no intermediate, or in-between position, so there is no way for a solenoid to throttle flow. The valve body consists of the pressure containing parts in-contact with the process fluid.

    Working principle of solenoid valve

When electricity passes through the coil, the coil generates magnetic force, the moving iron core is lifted, and the solenoid valve is opened. When the power is turned off, the magnetic force of the coil disappears, the iron core is pressed back to the original position by the spring, and the solenoid valve is closed.

      1. Take the enclosing tube and gasket off the stem of the solenoid valve body.
      2. Remove the stem and plunger of the solenoid valve from the valve body and take the seat disk off the top of the body.
      3. Lift the valve body off the solenoid valve's manual lift stem and slide the lift stem out of the solenoid valve base.
