1P, 2P, 1P+N, 3P, 4P, 4P+N, P means that the miniature circuit breaker (MCB) is equipped with a protective pole (knife pole), N means that the neutral conductor is only equipped with knife pole, but no protection modules. Both 2P and 1P+N are called two pole switch, 4P and 3P+N are called 4 pole switch. Neutral conductor of 1P+N and 3P+N don't have protection, so they are much cheaper, the neutral conductor pole acts along with the phase line pole. Some circuit breakers divide 1P+N into two types: one adopts two module width, another adopts one module width (small size). For these poles, how to select a right miniature circuit breaker?

AC contactor is generally classified into class I, class II, class III and class IV according to the type of load, and they are respectively recorded as AC-1, AC-2, AC-3 and AC-4. AC-1 AC contactor corresponds to non inductive or micro inductive load as its control object, such as the filament lamp, resistor furnace. AC-2 AC contactor is used for starting and stopping of wound asynchronous motor. Typical application of AC-3 AC contactor is the operation of squirrel-cage asynchronous motor and the break in operation. AC-4 AC contactor is used for starting, reverse braking, reversing and jog of cage asynchronous motor. All ATO AC contactors with 24V/110V/220V coil operating at AC-3 380V or 660V.

Electrical parameter requirements

1. Rated voltage
   Rated voltage is also known as working voltage, it's mainly determined by the insulation materials used by circular connector and the distance between the contact pairs. Some component devices may not be able to perform their functions when using below the rated voltage.
2. Rated current
   Just the same as the rated voltage, the circular connector may not work normally in the current below the rated current. In the design of circular connectors requirements for rated current are met through the thermal design of the circular connector, because the contact pairs will be heated when current passed due to the existence of conductor resistance and contact resistance.
